Coto de Caza, CA — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in eighth after playing 54-holes at the 15-team Anteater Invitational Tuesday. Iowa carded a 971 on the par-71 Dove Canyon Golf Course in Coto de Caza, CA. Iowa Head Coach Kelly Crawford’s former team and host, UC-Irvine, won the tournament with a 909.
After finishing day one tied for 18th, Jill Marcum posted a 79 in the third round to finish 14th. She led Iowa with her three-round total 237. Amy Riepma tied for 31st after posting 244. Behind her is Tyrette Metzendorf, who finished tied for 33rd, tallying a 245 after 54-holes.
Iowa competes next at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, IN, April 8-9.
