MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The University of Iowa Men’s Gymnastics team competed in the 2007 Big Ten Individual Championships Saturday night at the University of Minnesota. Iowa competed on pommel horse, rings and horizontal bar.

For the third time this season senior Jacques Bouchard broke his own record, recording a new school best. His score of 9.725 won him the event and etched his name in the Iowa record book for best performance on rings. As of last night, his score of 9.65 was the Iowa record.

Matt Beiler posted a 9.35 on rings, to finish tied for sixth. On pommel horse, Jacob Becker finished second, posting a 9.05. Joel Snyder scored an 8.925 on horizontal bar to finish sixth.

The NCAA Qualifier is April 12 at Penn State University.
