EAST LANSING, MI — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in eighth place after playing 72 holes at the Big Ten Invitational Sunday. Iowa carded a 1257 at the par-72 Forest Akers West Golf Course. Michigan State won the 11-team tournament with a score of 1188.
Amy Riepma led the Hawkeyes, finishing tied for 21st. She carded a 313 (+25). Tyrette Metzendorf posted a 317 (+29) to finish 32nd. Tied for 39th Melanie Boyles who posted a 320 (+32). Riepma, Boyles and Karla Murra (322 +34) posted their lowest rounds of the Big Ten Invitational Sunday.
This concludes Iowa’s 2006-07 golf season.
