IOWA CITY, IA – Hawkeye sophomore Frank Van Dijkhuizen has been named the men’s Big Ten Diver of the Week for the second consecutive week. The native of Amsterdam, Netherlands earned the honor by placing first in both the one and three-meter diving competitions. In a meet that saw the Hawkeyes win by one point (150.5-149.5) Van Dijkhuizen did his part in helping Iowa to a 30-8 advantage in diving points. Van Dijkhuizen scored 290.48 on the one-meter board and 335.85 off the three-meter board.
This is Van Dijkhuizen’s third career weekly honor, previously winning it for the Hawkeyes on October 23 and also during his freshman season. The Hawkeye men’s swimming team’s next competition is scheduled for Friday, November 9, against Purdue, in Iowa City.
