Dec. 27, 2007

IOWA CITY — Looking for a cheap family date? How about checking out the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena?

Iowa’s final non-conference game against Southeastern Louisiana has been designated a “Family Four Pack” game. What does that mean? Well, it’s pretty simple: For $65, a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes gets four game tickets, four hot dogs and four Cokes.

This special offer is available in advance by calling 1-800 IA HAWKS. It’s also available on game night at the UI Athletics Ticket Office at Carver-Hawkeye.

The Hawkeyes and Lions tipoff shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday. The visiting team is from the Southland Conference and will bring a 7-4 record into Carver-Hawkeye. Iowa is 6-6 in its first year under 2007 National Coach of the Year Todd Lickliter.

Iowa opens its 2008 Big Ten Conference season next Wednesday, Jan. 2, against the nationally ranked Indiana Hoosiers. Tickets for that game can be purchased online by clicking HERE, by telephone by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS and at the UI Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
