IOWA CITY, IA – Hawkeye sophomore Frank Van Dijkhuizen has been named the men’s Big Ten Diver of the Week for the third time this season. The native of Amsterdam, Netherlands, earned the honor by placing second in both the one and three-meter diving competitions against Missouri. His scores of 293.05 off the one-meter board and 341.40 off the three-meter board meet qualifying standards for the NCAA Zone diving meet.
This is Van Dijkhuizen’s fourth career weekly honor, previously winning it for the Hawkeyes on Oct. 23 and 30, 2007, and also during his freshman season. The Hawkeye men’s diving team’s next competition is the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor on Feb. 28.
