Hawkeye Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa soccer team announced its spring schedule Wednesday, which includes five weekend matches.

The first match is scheduled to take place March 1 in Iowa City, when the Hawkeyes scrimmage Saint Louis (9:00 a.m.), North Dakota State (12:45 p.m.), and the UI Soccer Alumni (4:30 p.m.).

The Hawkeyes will travel to Lawrence, KS, April 5 to take on Drake and Kansas. The following week, April 13, the Hawkeyes will take on Western Illinois in Eldridge, IA.

The All-Iowa Tournament, featuring Drake, Northern Iowa and Iowa State, will take place April 19 in Des Moines. The Hawkeyes will close out the spring season April 29 in Evanston, IL, and will take on Northwestern and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

“We are excited to see our team develop in the spring,” Head Coach Ron Rainey said. “With nine seniors finishing up this past fall, we will be using people at various positions and it will be fun to see the team develop.”
