IOWA CITY – All fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes are invited to join in a celebration with Lisa Bluder and her UI women’s basketball team for its Big Ten Conference regular season championship – a championship the Hawkeyes secured earlier today with their 87-78 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison.
Join us tonight – Sunday, March 2 – at 6:30 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The West and North entrances to Carver will open at 6:00 p.m. Fans can park for free in the lots west (Lot 46), south (Arena Commuter) and east (Dental) of the home of the Hawkeyes.
Iowa’s next game will take place in second round action of the 2008 Big Ten Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament next weekend in Indianapolis. The Hawkeyes will be the tournament’s No. 2 seed and as such will play at 10:30 a.m. CT Friday. The game will be televised live by the Big Ten Network.
