No Damage in Solverson's Knee

IOWA CITY – – Iowa women’s basketball player Johanna Solverson underwent an MRI exam Monday and tests showed no structural damage to her right knee. The sixth-year senior will play in Iowa’s post-season next week.

Solverson, who was named second team all-Big Ten, left Sunday’s Big Ten semifinals contest vs. Purdue at the 4:25 mark of the second half and did not return. The co-captain averaged 13 points, nine rebounds and two assists in Iowa’s two Big Ten Tournament games.

Solverson averages 10.4 points, five rebounds and 3.3 assists in 31 games.

Iowa, who won a share of the Big Ten regular season co-championship, is 21-10 and will await its post-season fate next Monday (March 17).
