EAST LANSING, MI – The University of Iowa men’s golf team finished rounds one and two at the Big Ten Championships Friday. Iowa recorded a 36-hole score of 609 (+33) on the day and is currently in 10th. Illinois leads with a 581 (+5).
Freshman Vince India led the Hawkeyes Thursday. The freshman is tied for 11th after recording a 36-hole score of 146 (+2). He recorded rounds of 72 (E) and 74 (+2). Senior Dan Holterhaus and junior Cole Peevler are tied for 38th. Each recorded scores of 154 (+10). Senior Todd Larson recorded a 157 (+13) and is in 48th place. In addition, senior Adam Miller is tied for 52nd with a 159 (+15).
“We were not very pleased with our first day, but we are only half way done,” said Head Coach Mark Hankins. “We need to improve each day.”
The Hawkeyes will continue play at the Big Ten Championships tomorrow. Round three will begin at approximately 8 a.m. (CT).
