Hawkeyes Win Two in Central Region Finals

The University of Iowa women’s rowing team competed in the finals in all five events in Sunday’s South-Central Regionals. The Hawkeyes placed 11th overall in the team standings and seventh in the Central Region standings with 202 points.

Iowa placed first in both the 2V8+ and V4+ C Finals. The Hawkeyes beat out Kansas State (7:08.06) for the win in the 2V8+ with a final time of 7:06.60. During the V4+ race, Iowa placed first over Kansas (8:04.61) with a winning time of 8:00.40.

In the V8+ Petite Finals, the Hawkeyes took home fourth place, with a final time of 6:55.30. Iowa also placed fourth in the N8+ and open 4+ races, with final times of 7:24.90 and 8:21.60 respectively.
