IOWA CITY, Iowa – Single game tickets for the non-conference home games of Coach Todd Lickliter’s 2008-09 University of Iowa men’s basketball team including tickets for games against intrastate rivals Northern Iowa and Iowa State will go on sale Monday (Nov. 3), the UI Athletics Ticket Office has announced.
Iowa plays eight games in Carver-Hawkeye Arena against non-Big Ten Conference opponents in November and December beginning with the 2008-09 season opener Friday, Nov. 14, against Charleston-Southern.
The non-conference schedule also includes dates with Texas-San Antonio (Monday, Nov. 17), Oakland (Sunday, Nov. 23), Southeast Missouri State (Tuesday, Nov. 25), Bryant (Friday, Dec. 5), Northern Iowa (Tuesday, Dec. 9) Iowa State in the annual Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk Series event (Friday, Dec. 12) and Western Illinois (Saturday, Dec. 27).
Single game tickets costs $22 for weekday games and $27 for weekend games and the game against Iowa State). Youth tickets for boys and girls high school aged and younger priced at $10 each are available for all non-conference games except the Iowa State game.

The Hawkeyes also play an exhibition game against Wayne State on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tickets for that event are $10. Game time is set for 1 p.m. and fans are invited to stay for the exhibition game of the UI women’s basketball team that follows.
