Ohio State Head Coach Lori Walker
“Purdue played a nice game and capitalized on getting on the scoreboard. It was tough for us with so many young players, and ending our season on an own-goal is something we are going to have to live with for a long time. I was happy with how hard we played and that we got a lot of minutes from our bench. “
Ohio State Junior Goalkeeper Lauren Robertson
“It’s unfortunate that our season had to end, but we have a young team and a lot of things to look forward to. We have a lot players coming back next year and this experience will benefit us at the end of the day. We’ve got a lot of work to do in the off-season, so we are going to have to work hard for next year.”
Purdue Head Coach Rob Klatte
“I’ll be honest, I have not even really thought one bit about Minnesota. I thought a bit after we played them the first time, but they are so athletic, they play in the 3-5-2 and make it really hard to get behind them.”
Purdue Junior Defender Sylvia Forbes
“I feel I had a successful game. We wanted to tighten up our play and I sought out more of a leadership position than I have in the past few competitions. We are looking forward to our match-up against Minnesota tomorrow. We will need to be tough in the back, and in the last 10 minutes of the game.”
