IOWA CITY, Iowa – The UI Athletics Ticket Office is now accepting orders for single-game tickets to the home games of Coach Todd Lickliter’s 2008-09 University of Iowa men’s basketball team against Big Ten Conference opponents.
The Hawkeyes, 6-1 heading into Tuesday’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against Boston College in Boston, will play nine home games against league teams beginning with a Jan. 3 date against the Indiana Hoosiers.
Iowa also hosts Minnesota (Jan. 8), Wisconsin (Jan. 21), Michigan State (Jan. 29), Northwestern (Feb. 7), Purdue (Feb. 14), Michigan (Feb. 22), Ohio State (TBD) and Penn State (Mar. 7) before the 2009 Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament to be staged in Indianapolis on Mar. 12-15.
The Hawkeyes also have four games left on their 2008 non-conference schedule beginning Friday when Iowa entertains Bryant at 7 p.m. Northern Iowa and Iowa State visit Carver-Hawkeye Arena next Tuesday (Dec. 9), and Friday (Dec. 12), respectively, and Western Illinois on Dec. 27.
In addition to single-game tickets, the UI Athletics Ticket Office also continues to accept orders for a ticket package that includes all games played against Big Ten opponents on weekdays and another that includes all games played against league opponents on weekends.
The UI Athletics Ticket Office also has a limited number of discount priced tickets for use by boys and girls high school aged and younger.
Current UI students can also still make their purchase for a student season ticket that includes free admission to Iowa’s home games against Northern Iowa and Michigan State.
