Lickliter isn't going for a quick fix

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Todd Lickliter wasn’t crushed after a 57-55 loss at Boston College on Dec. 2, writes espn.com’s Andy Katz. Lickliter understands his position in coaching the Hawkeyes through a complete rebuilding job.

Despite the temptations for a quick fix, Lickliter is relying heavily on freshmen to turn the program around.

“I want players who are involved with their teams, who enjoy playing with their teammates,” Lickliter said.
