Iowa Remains at No. 4 in BCS

IOWA CITY, Iowa – For the second straight week, the unbeaten University of Iowa football ranked No. 4 in the 2009 Bowl Championship Series. The Hawkeyes, winners of its first nine games of the season, have a BCS average of .8407 in the third BCS poll of 2009.

Florida ranks No. 1 in all three of the BCS’s polls: Harris Interactive, USA Today and the BCS Computer Average. Iowa, No. 1 according to the BCS computers a week ago, slipped to No. 2 in that piece of the BCS puzzle this week. Texas jumped over Alabama into the poll’s No. 2 position, .9227-.9166,

Penn State (11th, .6166), Ohio State (16th, .3784) and Wisconsin (21st, .1939) were the only other Big Ten Conference teams listed in the BCS’ Top 25.

That game will be televised live by ABC with coverage available on ESPN in television markets where ABC is televising a different college football game.
