“We’re happy to get the victory today. We didn’t shoot the ball as well as we’re capable of shooting it, but I thought we got some good looks. That’s going to happen for us. I really believe we’re a good three-point shooting team and we’ll bury those looks in time.”
“I was pleased with our rebounding today; I thought we did a good job on the boards. Kachine was spectacular on the boards once again. When she does that it just energizes our whole team.”
“I thought Morgan did a nice job in her first start at the center position. She shot the ball well and she rebound very well, so I was very pleased with the play from her today.”
Thoughts on JoAnn Hamlin
“Everyone was obviously taken back. It’s something that you don’t expect to have happen and, you know, we’re a family. When something happens to your family, it makes you stop and think about things. It makes you appreciate the opportunity you have to play. We all miss Jo and we really wanted to get this win for her.”
“All the coaches have been telling me, `Get in there and get some rebounds. Maybe get a few tips; you never know what will happen.’ After getting those, I was looking for Kamille on the way back. I love it when I get the rebound and hit Kamille for the three. It’s just so much fun because she gets excited then everyone gets excited.”

On her nervousness compared to the exhibition game
“I talked to JoAnn last night about how nervous I was, but she has the most confidence in me. I draw a lot from my teammates and they’re just great people and they helped me do what I could today.”
“I think I was just as nervous today as the exhibition. It’s a little bit different, going against a Division I team now. Tomorrow, of course, I’ll probably be nervous, but it’s better to be nervous than not care at all.”
