IOWA CITY, Iowa – Single-game tickets to all home games of the 2010-11 University of Iowa men’s basketball team under the direction of first-year head coach Fran McCaffery are now on sale, the UI Athletics Department announced today.
McCaffery’s squad opens its 17-game home schedule with its only exhibition game of the season Sunday at 3:35 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes entertain Illinois-Springfield,
Iowa begins its 2010-11 regular season the following Sunday – Nov. 14 – when South Dakota State visits the Arena for a 2 p.m. tip off on “Fran Appreciation Day.” The UI will celebrate the start of the Fran McCaffery era by rewarding randomly-selected fans in attendance with a variety of prizes ranging from season tickets and single-game tickets to gift certificates to the Official Iowa Hawk Shop. One lucky fan will become a finalist for a chance to win a trip for two to the Iowa football team’s bowl game.

The Hawkeyes’ 2010-11 home schedule also includes games with intrastate rivals Northern Iowa and Iowa State, and nine contests with Big Ten Conference opponents, the first scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 29, when Iowa entertains Illinois.
Single-game tickets for adult s range in price from $25 for the Iowa State and Big Ten weekend games to $10 for Iowa’s non-conference game Tuesday, Nov. 16, against Louisiana-Monroe.
Youth tickets for use by boys and girls high school aged younger range in price from $15 to $5. Discount-priced tickets for purchase by groups of 20 or more are also available for all of Iowa’s 2010-11 home games.
The UI Athletics Ticket Office also continues to accept orders for season tickets from the general public, UI faculty and staff, and UI students, and orders for a variety of “mini-season ticket” packages.
Tickets can be purchased online at hawkeyesports.com, over the phone by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS, and in person at the UI Athletics Ticket Office location inside the west entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
