Other than Grant Field, what is your favorite place on campus?

Pergine: “I would say my apartment or Java House for studying with the girls.”

Miller: “I really enjoy the Studio Arts building because all the art fields are together. I would also say Fairgrounds, it is a coffee shop near my apartment.”

You were a member of the 2008 NCAA Final Four team, what was that experience like?

Pergine: “It was a really fun and exciting experience. It was our goal to get there and actually getting there was amazing. The feeling was something none of us had really experienced before. Being able to go and represent Iowa was a really great feeling.”

Miller: “You have to be a really good team in order to make it that far and it was really neat to experience it.”

If you were cast on a reality TV show, which one would you prefer to be on and why?

Pergine: “I would want to be on the Amazing Race so that I could travel. I feel like that show is the most realistic. I would enjoy the traveling experience.”

Miller: “Project Runway because I like that it’s a competition and that you get to create stuff.”

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

Pergine: “Hangout with my friends, watch sports and listening to music; being active.”

Miller: “I like to do arts and crafts. I am really into graphic design right now.”

How is your academic career path coming along?

Pergine: “I am on pace to graduate in the spring. I am double majoring in communication studies and sociology.”

Do you have any pregame superstitions?

Pergine: “I always write the same things on my game plan. If we are traveling, I always have to listen to the same song before we get off the bus. Chelsea reminds me how much time we have left so I can play that last song.”

Miller: “During warm-ups I have to juggle the ball 24 times on my stick, for my number, and then I balance it on the 24th bounce.”

What is your favorite restaurant in the Iowa City area?

Pergine: “I would say Atlas. I usually order their mac n’ cheese or the roasted Portobello.”

Being from Collegeville, PA, (Pergine) and Palmer, TX, (Miller) what was the key factor in your recruitment that led you to Iowa City, IA and the Hawkeye field hockey program?

Pergine: “I really enjoyed the family feel of the program and really feeling like I wouldn’t be homesick being far away from home. The college town feel of Iowa City is really great and I think that is something that attracts a lot of people.”

Miller: “When I came on my visit I was really attracted to how the team interacted and I could not tell the difference between classes. I didn’t know who the freshmen were versus the upperclassmen.”
