IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa football team will carry national rankings of 20 and 21 into Saturday’s Fan Appreciation and Senior Day game against Ohio State.
The Hawkeyes are the No. 20 team in this week’s USA Today Top 25 and the No. 21 team in the Associated Press’ elite list. The UI is also the No. 20 team in the weekly Bowl Championship Series standings.
Iowa, which entertains Ohio State at 2:30 p.m. Iowa time Saturday inside historic Kinnick Stadium – a game ABC will televise live coast-to-coast – is one of five Big Ten Conference teams in USA Today’s list and four Big Ten teams in AP’s Top 25 and the BCS standings.
Oregon, Auburn, Texas Christian, Boise State and LSU are Nos. 1 through 5.
This is Iowa’s 37th total appearance in the BCS poll which is now in its 13th season. This year’s BCS schedule is as follows:
