IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa senior guard Kachine Alexander is one of 20 Division I women’s basketball student-athletes nominated for the first annual 2010-11 Premier Player of Women’s College Basketball award. The award is given by Premier Players, Inc. and is based on fan voting.
Fans are able to vote until March 15, 2011. The date, time and location of the award presentation will be announced in January 2011. Fans can vote by going to the Polls and Results tab at www.premierplayers.com or by clicking HERE
Alexander is on the Naismith Trophy, Wade Trophy and Wooden Award watch lists. She is currently averaging 14.7 points and nine rebounds per game.
Alexander and the nationally ranked Iowa women’s basketball team take on Northeastern Saturday at noon in the first game of the KCRG-TV9 Hawkeye Challenge. Saturday’s game is free to the public.
