Donahue was a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy Award in 2009. He is the first Iowa punter to be named a finalist for the Award. The Award has been given to the nation’s top collegiate punter since 2000.

Donahue has averaged 44.3 yards per punt in Iowa’s 11 games. He has a long punt of 73 yards this season. During the 2010 campaign, he has punted the ball over 50 yards, 13 times and 19 of his punts have been downed inside the 20-yard line. He has been Iowa’s starting punter the last four years.
