IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The first year head coach will talk about his team’s last second loss to Wake Forest in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, while also addressing the upcoming game against Idaho State.

McCaffery’s news conference will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a tight 76-73 defeat at Wake Forest on Tuesday night in Winston-Salem, N.C. Iowa led by as many as 18 points in the first half before falling behind by double digits midway through the second 20 minutes. After the Hawkeyes fought back to tie the game at 73, Wake Forest’s J.T. Terrell drained a long three pointer with three seconds remaining to propel his squad to the victory.

“I think a lot of things were really positive tonight,” said McCaffery following the team’s first road contest at Wake Forest. “We out rebounded them, executed our sets, and never panicked when we were down. We learned what it is like to play on the road. We got rattled a little bit, but for the most part kept our poise and execution.”

Iowa will return to action against Idaho State on Saturday afternoon beginning at 12:32 p.m. The Hawkeyes then follow that game with contests against in-state foes Northern Iowa and Iowa State on Dec. 7 and Dec. 10, respectively.

In addition to live coverage of each of McCaffery’s weekly press conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to the weekly visits with the media of UI football coach Kirk Ferentz and UI women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bluder’s post-game media conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball coaches, and, of course, the live play-by-play of every Iowa men’s basketball game featuring the Hawkeye Radio Network’s Gary Dolphin and Bobby Hansen, and all football, women’s basketball and wrestling events.
