Dec. 15, 2010

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet with the media at 1 p.m. this afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Bluder will recount her team’s rout of No. 16 Iowa State before turning her attention to this week’s road games against South Dakota State and Drake.

Bluder’s news conference will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media mortal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes enter the game with a 9-1 overall record and a No. 15/16 national ranking after downing the Cyclones, 62-40, on Dec. 9 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Iowa had three players finish in double digits in the contest with sophomore Morgan Johnson pacing the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Iowa will travel to Brookings, S.D., on Saturday to square off against South Dakota State – a team that has played in the past two NCAA Tournaments out of The Summit League. The Hawkeyes will then have a short turnaround, as they will face Drake in Des Moines, Iowa, on Dec. 20.

In addition to live coverage of each of Bluder’s weekly press conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to the weekly visits with the media of UI football coach Kirk Ferentz and UI men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bluder’s post-game media conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball coaches, and, of course, the live play-by-play of every Iowa women’s basketball game featuring Brent Balbinot and Shelley Till, and all football, men’s basketball and wrestling events.
