IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa divers Deidre Freeman and Veronica Rydze placed fourth in the women’s 3-meter synchronized diving finals at the USA Diving Winter National Championships, which were held at Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
The duo advanced to the finals after placing fourth in the preliminary round and finished the final round in fourth-place with 263.76 points.
Freeman and Rydze also competed in the finals of the women’s 1-meter springboard competition. Freeman placed seventh with a score of 258.15, while Rydze took eighth place with 240.60 points.
