IOWA CITY, Iowa —The University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team was unable to arrive in Las Vegas for the 2011 U.S. Winter Cup Challenge due to the recent snow storms.
The No. 9 Hawkeyes were scheduled to fly out of Cedar Rapids last Wednesday, but had their flight cancelled. Senior Mike Jiang and sophomore Matt McGrath were both slated to compete at the tournament. Big Ten foe Penn State also had the weather cancel their trip.
Iowa will now be competing next on Feb. 11th at the UI Field House with a contest against No. 7 Minnesota. Start times is set for 7 p.m.
