IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will be with his team Monday night in Cedar Falls, prepping for Tuesday night’s game against Northern Iowa, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be joining Gary Dolphin for the debut of Hawk Talk with Fran McCaffery tonight.
McCaffery and assistant coach Kirk Speraw both will visit with Dolphin – who will be at Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Café in Iowa City – shortly after 7 p.m. via telephone during the Hawkeyes’ practice at the McLeod Center on the UNI campus.
Hawk Talk with Fran McCaffery is also online to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes. McCaffery and Dolphin will talk about tomorrow’s game with the Panthers – Iowa’s first true road game of the 2011-12 season – and Friday’s annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series date with Iowa State in Hilton Coliseum on the ISU campus in Ames. The games are the first of the Hawkeyes’ three against in-state opponents this season. The UI entertains Drake on Saturday, Dec. 17.
