Printy Earns Academic Honor

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior guard Jaime Printy has been named a Capital One Academic-All District selection. Printy was one of five players in District 6 to earn the honor, given by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Printy’s name will now appear on the Capital One All-America ballot.

The Marion, Iowa, native is a Leisure Studies major and an Academic All-Big Ten award winner. She is a member of the Dean’s List and has been given the Presidential Committee on Athletics award twice.

On the court, Printy leads Iowa in scoring at 16.9 points per game (16.5 points per game in Big Ten play). She ranks second in the Big Ten and 12th in the NCAA with an 88.8 free throw percentage. Printy also ranks sixth in assists (4.2), seventh in 3-pointers made per game (2.0) and tied for eighth in steals (2.0).

Printy led Iowa in scoring in 13 contests, including nine 20-point performances. She ranks 10th in career scoring at Iowa (1,409), third in career 3-pointers made (197) and sixth in assists (304).

Printy suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Iowa’s overtime win at Wisconsin on Feb. 2.
