IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet with media Tuesday to discuss the Hawkeyes and the upcoming 2012 Big Ten Tournament.
The visit with local, regional and national media assembled in the Press Room at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will begin at 2 p.m. (CT), and will be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Iowa heads to Indianapolis as the No. 8 seed after finishing the regular season with a 16-15 overall record and an 8-10 mark in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes’ first round opponent, Illinois, is 17-14 overall and a 6-12 record in the league. The two teams square off at 10:30 a.m. (CT) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Iowa-Illinois winner will square off against the tournament No. 1 seed Michigan State on Friday at 11 a.m. (CT) on ESPN.
