Iowa Head Coach Fran McCaffery

On the game…
“At the end of the 1st half we had momentum. In the 2nd half, I thought that regarding our offense, we couldn’t play any better than that. To their credit they played man to man and they just ran.”

“In the 2nd half it seemed like they were making every shot and they got it going.”

On Iowa’s struggle…
“I think a little bit of the problem was fatigue on our part, but they were also open. They had to make those shots and they made them.”

Iowa forward Devyn Roy Marble

On his approach for the game…
“I just wanted to come in and be aggressive. Coach (Fran McCaffery) said I wasn’t taking enough shots so that’s what I was trying to do tonight.”

“They [Oregon] have a lot of good shooters. [Devoe]Joseph, [E.J.] Singler, and [Garrett] Sim were all making tough shots. They had their home crowd behind them and it was to their advantage. They were shooting the ball just as easy as we were, if not easier.

On the second half…
“We were a little winded. In some places we were lacking in communication and they capitalized on it.”
