IOWA CITY, Iowa — Thirty-three years ago at a central Massachusetts prep school four men crossed paths for the first time. Three of those men are now among the brain trust of the Miami Dolphins, while the fourth is the head football coach at the University of Iowa.
Joe Philbin was hired as the head football coach for the Dolphins in January. He then hired Mike Sherman as his offensive coordinator and Ken O’Keefe as his receivers coach. O’Keefe spent the past 13 years on the Hawkeye coaching staff under the fourth member of the quartet, Kirk Ferentz.
