Follow @IowaFBLive on Football Gamedays

Aug. 31, 2012

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Attention University of Iowa football fans; there will be a new way to follow the Hawkeyes on football gamedays.

Members of the UI Athletic Communications Office will be tweeting from @IowaFBLive, providing updates, analysis and insight during every game, home and away, this season. Fans are encouraged to tweet @IowaFBLive with their photos of game day, comments or questions.

Each week on gameday, @IowaFBLive will have a trivia question at halftime. The first person to respond with the correct answer will win a prize, courtesy of the UI Department of Athletics (must be a college freshmen or older to win). This week’s prize is a complete set of men’s and women’s basketball bobbleheads from the 2011-12 season.

Tweeting from @IowaFBLive will begin approximately 30 minutes before kickoff and continue until the end of the game. Serious Iowa football fans will enjoy constant updates on game trends and player performances, along with TwitPics.

@IowaFBLive will be up and running for the season-opener Saturday at Soldier Field against Northern Illinois. Tweeting will begin at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday’s game can be seen on ESPNU, with Tom Hart and John Congemi calling the action.
