3 Hawkeyes Earn Mid-Season Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa — After totaling a combined 58 points and 23 goals, University of Iowa soccer players Cloe Lacasse, Ashley Catrell and Dana Dalrymple have been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Midseason Big Ten Top 20 team, according to an announcement by the publication.

Lacasse, a sophomore from Sudbury, Ontario, leads the Hawkeyes with 28 points from 11 goals and six assists. She ranks sixth in the nation and second in the Big Ten in total goals and total points. Lacasse was named Forward of the Week by TopDrawerSoccer.com earlier this season. Lacasse ranks fourth in goals (23) in Iowa’s all-time records list.

After scoring five goals in her first two seasons, Catrell has already tallied seven goals this season. The junior from Overland Park, Kan., ranks second on the team in points (17) and goals. Catrell has also contributed three assists.

Dalrymple, one of six seniors on the team, has tallied 13 points with five goals and three assists. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native has tallied 39 points, 13 goals and 10 assists in her career. Dalrymple ranks third in program history in career game-winning goals.

Lacasse, Catrell and Dalrymple have led the Hawkeyes to an 11-1-2 record this season. Iowa sits in fourth in Big Ten standings, and is ninth in the nation in win-loss-tie percentage. The Hawkeyes return to action on Sunday, wrapping up a three match Big Ten road trip at Minnesota. The Hawkeyes and Golden Gophers will meet at 1 p.m. (CT) at the Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.
