ANF Game Day Autograph Schedule Available

Oct. 19, 2012

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Prime time events at historic Kinnick Stadium typically include much more than just a football game. This Saturday is no different. Here’s a short list of some of the many activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday night prior to Iowa’s 7 p.m. date with the Penn State Nittany Lions.

ANF Game Day!

Saturday’s game is the second annual ANF Game Day at Kinnick – a celebration of America’s farmer staged by the UI Athletics Department with the support of the Iowa Farm Bureau. Please consider adding a visit to the ANF Game Day tent inside the Krause Family Plaza during the afternoon. The tent opens at noon and will close at 5:30 p.m. Fans visiting the tent will receive an ANF car cling while supplies last, compete to win ANF merchandise in the ANF Tailgate Toss, and enter to win ANF items autographed by Hayden Fry, Kirk Ferentz, and former Hawkeye Dallas Clark.

Former Hawkeyes like Casey Wiegmann – this year’s ANF Wall of Honor Hawkeye, Robert Gallery, Jared DeVries, Tim Dwight, Brad Banks, and Ed Podolak will be available between 1 and 4:30 p.m. at the ANF Game Day tent to sign autographs. Here’s the full schedule:

As in the past, if you sit in a seat in an EVEN numbered section of Kinnick, please consider wearing GOLD. If you are a UI student or you sit in a seat in an ODD numbered section of Kinnick, please consider wearing BLACK. If your seat is in the Mediacom Outdoor Club section of the Paul W. Brechler Press Box, please follow this plan: If you sit SOUTH of seat 104, please wear GOLD; if you sit NORTH of seat 105, please wear BLACK. Need more detail? Black and Gold Basketball Blowout

If your travel plans include arrival in Iowa City on Friday night – or you live close enough to make a trip to Carver on Friday night – please note that the UI’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will stage the 2012 Black and Gold Basketball Blowout presented by Herky’s Locker Room on Friday night. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with activities kicking off at 8. The Blowout is an inexpensive and entertaining way to celebrate the start of what promises to be another exciting of college basketball for Fran McCaffery and Lisa Bluder’s Hawkeyes.

Tickets cost just $5. UI students and boys and girls high school aged and younger are admitted free.
