Hawkeyes Move Up to 10th in CSCAA Rankings

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s swimming and diving team moved up to 10th in the latest College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) NCAA men’s Division I rankings. The Hawkeyes were 19th in the initial preseason poll.

The top-25 reflects each team’s best performance meets swum over a rolling three-week period. This week’s rankings reflect performances swum Oct. 15 through Nov. 4.

Iowa is one of six Big Ten Conference teams in the poll, along with top-ranked Michigan, Minnesota (9), Indiana (11), Ohio State (15) and Purdue (23).

The Hawkeyes, 1-1 in dual competition, are coming off a 165.5-132.5 loss at then-No. 13 Minnesota. Iowa opened the season with a road victory at Michigan State.

Iowa was ranked as high as 10th during the 2011-12 season before finishing the year in 14th place in the final dual rankings and 17th in the final CSCAA prediction poll.
