McCaffery Live Thursday at 2 p.m. (CT)

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 2 p.m. (CT) Thursday to talk about Friday’s Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series matchup against Iowa State.

The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Cyclones head to Iowa City with a 6-2 overall record after posting victories over BYU (83-62) and Florida Gulf Coast (83-72) over the past four days. Iowa State’s two losses came against No. 22 Cincinnati (78-70) and No. 18 UNLV (82-72) during a Thanksgiving tournament in Las Vegas.

The Hawkeyes bring a 7-2 record — a 6-0 mark inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena — into the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series contest. Iowa downed South Dakota, 87-63, Tuesday night, as four players reached double figures with sophomore Aaron White leading the way with 21 points.
