Change: McCaffery Moved to 1:30 p.m. (CT)

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 1:30 p.m. (CT) Friday to talk about Monday’s Big Ten Conference opener against fifth-ranked Indiana.

The briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Monday’s game is slated to begin at 3:05 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. ESPN2 will televise the contest.

The Hoosiers are 11-1 overall heading into its nonconference finale against Jacksonville on Friday night at Assembly Hall. Indiana won its first nine games of the season before falling to Butler, 88-86 in overtime, on Dec. 15. Preseason National Player of the Year Cody Zeller leads the Hoosiers, averaging 16.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

The Hawkeyes, winners of six straight, enter Big Ten play with an 11-2 overall record. Iowa is 9-0 inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season.

Indiana holds a 95-74 advantage in the series, but Iowa has won six of the previous eight meetings dating back to the 2008-09 season. A year ago, both squads defended its home court with Indiana winning 103-89 in Bloomington and Iowa 78-66 in Iowa City.
