McCaffery Live Friday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 2 p.m. (CT) Friday to talk about the Hawkeyes’ upcoming game against Northwestern on Feb. 9.

The briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa (14-9 overall, 3-7 Big Ten) won the first meeting between the teams, 70-50, on Jan. 13 in Evanston, Ill. Since then, the Wildcats (13-10, 4-6) have split their next six games, winning most recently at home against Purdue, 75-60, on Feb. 2.

It will be the second home contest in the last six games for the Hawkeyes, who dropped a 74-70 decision at Wisconsin on Wednesday. Iowa has won its last two games in Carver-Hawkeye Arena (70-66 against Wisconsin on Jan. 19, 76-67 against Penn State on Jan. 31). Northwestern has lost its last two road games.
