Bluder Live Wednesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet the media at 10 a.m. (CT) Wednesday to talk about the Hawkeyes’ Big Ten Conference Tournament game against Northwestern on March 7.

The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa (19-11 overall, 8-8 Big Ten) is the No. 7 seed in the tournament, Northwestern (13-16, 5-11) is the No. 10 seed. The teams traded road wins during the regular season. The Wildcats won 67-65 on Feb. 3 in Iowa City, the Hawkeyes won 62-45 on March 3 in Evanston, Ill.

Since the last meeting Sunday, Iowa sophomore Melissa Dixon was named Big Ten Conference Sixth Player of the Year, and Northwestern’s Maggie Lyon was named Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year. The game will also feature the top two assist leaders in the league — Iowa’s Samantha Logic averages 6.6 assists per game and Northwestern’s Karly Roser averages 6.3.
