Men's Hoops Cracks USA Today/Coaches Poll

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s basketball team cracked the USA Today/Coaches poll this week, ranking 25th with 74 votes. The Hawkeyes received 144 votes in the Associated Press ranking, and are 22 votes from making that top 25.

Iowa has opened its season with four consecutive victories, winning by a margin of 39.8 points. The Hawkeyes scored 100-plus points in each of their last two games.

Iowa returns to action on Friday when the Hawkeyes host head coach Fran McCaffery’s alma mater, Penn. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
