IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team is ranked No. 8 in the nation in the NCAA’s Preseason Poll. The Hawkeyes received 91 points and appear behind four Big Ten opponents.
The 2013 defending national champion Michigan is the unanimous favorite and picked No. 1 with 165 points. Ohio State came in at No. 4 with 118 points, followed by Penn State and Illinois, who tied for No. 5 with 117 points. Iowa ranks ahead of Big Ten foes No. 9 Minnesota (84 points) and No. 10 Nebraska (70 points).
