Iowa will kick off the 2014-15 season by sending student-athletes to the Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, California, from Aug. 6-10. The team officially opens the regular season with a Big Ten double-dual against Michigan and Nebraska on Oct. 3-4 at the CRWC Pool.
After competing in the annual intrasquad meet Oct. 10, Iowa will hit the road for a pair of Big Ten duals. The Hawkeyes begin the stretch at Michigan State on Oct. 17 before facing Minnesota (Oct. 30).
Following a month break, Iowa will host the three-day Hawkeye Invitational from Dec. 5-7. Notre Dame, Denver, Washington State, and Wisconsin Milwaukee are among the teams competing in the prelims/finals formatted event.
Iowa will take a winter training trip from Dec. 29 through Jan. 5 before returning to the pool to face Northwestern on Jan. 24 at the CRWC Pool. The Hawkeyes will then head to South Bend, Indiana, for the Shamrock Invitational from Jan. 30-31 before hosting Western Illinois in its final home dual Feb.6. The senior class will be honored prior to the night’s swimming.
Following the completion of postseason competition, the Hawkeyes will host a long course intrasquad meet on April 11 in the final event of the 2014-15 season.
