Ripslinger Earns All-America Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Incoming University of Iowa women’s soccer freshman Rose Ripslinger has been selected to the 2014 NSCAA High School Girls All-America Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The Davenport, Iowa, native finished her career as a four-time Class 1A first-team all-state selection. She led Davenport Assumption High School to four consecutive Iowa Class 1A Girls Soccer State Championship teams (2011-14), while also being named to the all-tournament team all four years, including three as captain (2011, 2013, 2014).

Ripslinger totaled 118 goals and 54 assists in her prep career en route to becoming the first athlete in the Gatorade award’s 29-year history to win the award four times in any sport.

The NSCAA All-America recognition will take place at the High School Awards Brunch on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Lake Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The event is being held in conjunction with the NSCAA Summer Soccer Symposium, July 31-August 2, in Orlando.
