Celebrity Golfers Announced for 2015 Golf Extravaganza

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa women’s basketball program announced its celebrities who will take part in the annual 2015 Golf Extravaganza Wednesday afternoon.

This year’s NCAA leader in three-point field goals per game Melissa Dixon, local news anchor Tiffany O’Donnell, and longtime Iowa basketball radio announcers Brent Balbinot and Bobby Hansen will all be in attendance at the event. Those registered for extravaganza will receive an email with instructions on how to bid on celebrity golfers next week.

The event begins at 1 p.m. (CT) at Finkbine Golf Course on June 2. Registration is $500 per team, which will include complimentary lunch and dinner, a foursome photo with UI head coach Lisa Bluder, a participation gift, meet-and-greet with Hawkeye coaches and players, and opportunities for flight and door prizes.

There are also event sponsorship opportunities. “PAR” sponsors ($175) will have their name listed on signage on the course, “BIRDIE” sponsors ($550) will be listed on tee box signage and receive an appreciation gift, and “EAGLE” sponsors ($1500) receive a free foursome, have their name on the welcome banner, be recognized at the event, and receive an appreciation gift.

Foursome registration and sponsorship forms are due with payment by May 29. If you are having trouble completing your team, there are opportunities to join in with other individuals in attendance.
