IOWA CITY, Iowa — The UI Athletics Department, UI Alumni Association, and Winebrenner Red Carpet Travel of Iowa City today announced a partnership that will make it easier than ever for fans of the nationally ranked Iowa football team to travel to postseason bowl games involving the Hawkeyes beginning, of course, with the 2015 bowl season.

The partnership will take decades of experience in bowl game tour planning and execution by the three entities individually and merge that expertise into one “Official University of Iowa Bowl Tour.”

“The goal was to make it easy and simple for fans of our football team to `Go Bowling’ with the Iowa Hawkeyes. One telephone number and one web site address to arrange for travel to the bowl game destination on the one and only official bowl tour of the University of Iowa and the Iowa Hawkeyes,” said Gary Barta, the UI’s director of athletics.

Iowa defeated Illinois earlier today 29-2o at historic Kinnick Stadium. The win was No. 6 for the 2015 Hawkeyes which means they are eligible to participate in a postseason bowl game for the 14th time under Kirk Ferentz. The Hawkeyes will learn their bowl game destination on Sunday, Dec. 6.
