IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet with media at 2 p.m. (CT) Tuesday to discuss the 2016 Big Ten Conference Tournament in Indianapolis.

The briefing with local, regional, and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and will be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes, the No. 5 seed, will face the winner of No. 12 Illinois or 13th-seeded Minnesota at approximately 1:30 p.m. (CT) Thursday from Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Iowa tied Purdue, Maryland, and Wisconsin for third place in the regular season standings.

Iowa played both Illinois and Minnesota once during the 2015-16 season. The Hawkeyes defeated Illinois, 77-65, on Feb. 7 in Champaign, Illinois, and Minnesota, 75-71, on Feb. 14 in Iowa City.

The Hawkeyes are 21-9 overall and finished 12-6 in Big Ten action. It was the third time in program history Iowa has won 12 league games in a single season.

In addition to live coverage of each of McCaffery’s weekly news conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to weekly visits with the media of UI women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder, and head football coach Kirk Ferentz, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bluder’s postgame news conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball coaches, and the live play-by-play of every Iowa men’s basketball game featuring the Hawkeye Radio Network’s Gary Dolphin and Bobby Hansen and all football, women’s basketball and wrestling events.
