Ip Leads Hawkeyes Through 36 Holes in Colorado

VAIL, Colo. — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is in 14th place through 36 holes at the Golfweek Conference Challenge. The Hawkeyes posted a second-round 310 (+22) for a total score of 609 (+33).

Junior Jessica Ip led the Hawkeyes in the second round, firing a 76 (+4). Ip made par on 11 holes, while adding two birdies on holes eight and 16. She currently sits tied for 31st with a 36-hole total of 150 (+6).

Freshman Sophie Liu followed for the Hawkeyes with a score of 76 (+4). Liu’s round was highlighted 11 holes at par, including three birdies on holes three, six, and 11. The freshman is currently tied for 37th (151; +7).

Junior Elisa Suarez posted a 78 (+6) for a two-round score of 152 (+8). Her day was highlighted by 10 holes at par and two birdies on holes three and 16. The junior is tied for 42nd with one round left to play.

Rounding out the Hawkeyes are senior Jessie Sindlinger and sophomore Shawn Rennegarbe. Sindlinger carded 80 (+8) in her second round, with eight holes at par and a birdie on hole 15. Rennegarbe’s made par or better on seven holes, carding an 85 (+13). Sindlinger is currently tied for 67th, while Rennegarbe is tied for 77th.
