SOUTH BEND, Ind. — University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athlete Jason Kerst went 2-for-2 on Saturday at the Bayliss Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.

The freshman defeated Afonso Salgado of Indiana, 3-6,6-3,6-3. He then took on Louisville’s Sean Donahue for another three-set win, 5-7, 6-1,6-3.

Hawkeye senior Robin Haden split his matches in South Bend today. Haden beat Salgado, 2-6,6-2,6-3, after losing to Donahue, 6-2,6-1.

Tony Leto dropped both of his singles matches to Marquette student-athletes. The sophomore lost, 7-6,6-4, to Mackenzie Stearns and 7-6,2-6,6-2 to Brandon Shanklin.

On Sunday, Haden and Kerst are slated to take on the Notre Dame team of Daniel Rayl and Guillermo Cabrera in doubles. In singles, ­Haden will face Shakeel Manjii of Memphis, Kerst will play Penn State’s Henry Gordon, and Leto will take on William Peikarsky of Indiana.
