IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s basketball team will host Illinois on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Fans are encouraged to wear white clothing for Saturday’s “Whiteout.”
The Iowa men’s basketball players will be wearing white pregame shooting shirts with Arnold and the number 30 on the back of the shirts to show support for former Hawkeye Kenny Arnold (1979-82).
There will be a pregame autograph session on the South Concourse (behind Sections F, G, H, exit doors area) of Carver-Hawkeye Arena from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. featuring a number of former Hawkeyes, including Ronnie Lester, Mike Henry, Waymond King, Craig Anderson, Greg Stokes, Mark Gannon, Todd Berkenpass, Bobby Hansen, Steve Waite, Jess Settles, and Vince Brookins.
The aforementioned Hawkeyes will only be signing vintage posters that will be provided at the autograph tables prior to the game; one poster per person and no outside memorabilia will be signed.
Additionally, there will be 2,000 foam glow sticks distributed to the first 1,500 fans and 500 UI students.
A limited number of standing room only tickets remain for this contest. Tickets can be purchased for $33 for adults, and $20 for youth/UI students at the Iowa Athletic Ticket Office, calling 1-800-IA-HAWKS, or online at hawkeyesports.com/tickets.
