Field Hockey Announces Spring Schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa field hockey team announced its spring tournament schedule Tuesday. The Hawkeyes are set to participate in three tournaments in the month of April. 
 
Iowa opens its spring slate this weekend, traveling to Louisville, Kentucky, for the Louisville Spring Tournament. The event will consist of two 11-on-11 matches on Saturday and a 7-on-7 tournament on Sunday. The tournament field includes Ohio State, Indiana, Ball State, Michigan, Ohio, and host Louisville.
 
The following weekend the Hawkeyes will head to Evanston, Illinois, for a tournament hosted by Northwestern on April 8-9. The Hawkeyes will take on Michigan and Louisville on Saturday, April 8 before taking on Ohio State, Michigan State, and Northwestern on Sunday.
 
Iowa concludes its spring schedule hosting Northwestern and Missouri State on April 22. Each team will play a pair of 11-on-11 matches with 25 minute halves. Teams will be awarded two points for a win and one point for a tie. The Hawkeyes face Northwestern at 11 a.m. (CT), before taking on Missouri State at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
